The South By Southwest is an amazing music festival that takes place annually in Austin, Texas. Bands and performers alike travel from all over the world for a chance to perform for their fans in a variety of small venues around Texas’ capitol city. SXSW also gives bands/artists that haven’t hit the mainstream an opportunity to showcase their skills for industry heavyweights like Quincy Jones. A few of the performances I’m looking forward to seeing are Mickey Factz, Janelle Monae, MGMT, Eli Paperboy Reed & The True Loves, as well as Solange and the Hadley Street Dreams.
