We shared the behind the scenes footage with you yesterday, and now, as promised, here’s the full “Sabotage” visual for your viewing pleasure. Wale & Miguel took it all the way back to 2001 with this one.
Wale‘s still pushing out the singles from his latest album Ambition, and next up is the Lloyd assisted “Sabotage”. The song tells the tale of an up and down relationship, which is something that Wale’s become so great at illustrating. The Asher Levin-directed visual has a high school theme, and features rising star Sabi as Wale’s leading lady. Watch below: Continue reading
Today, BET Networks officially announced plans for their annual Fashion and Music program Rip The Runway. Taking on hosting duties are former Victoria Secret Angel & Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Supermodel Selita Ebanks and actor Pooch Hall, best known for his role as Derwin on BET’s hit show “The Game”. Additionally, Ebanks will debut her new swimwear line “SASSY by Selita Ebanks” during the show.
Featured musical guests include B.o.B, Diggy, Jeremih, Wale, Meek Mill and more. The show will be taped February 29th at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom, but you’ll be able to catch all of the “Fun, Freedom, and Fashion” when it airs March 21st at 10p/9c on BET.
Since signing with Maybach Music Group last year, songstress Teedra Moses has been cooking up the greatness for all of her fans. Her first visual since becoming a member of the MMG camp accompanies “Another Luvr”, a track that you can find on her mixtape, Luxurious Undergrind (download HERE if you haven’t yet). This version features a verse from her label-mate Wale… a welcome addition to the original. Check it out below:
This track showcases it. One of the more popular tracks of late “Ambitious Girl” finally has a visual. I like it, reminds me of many of my days in college…the getting up and running to class part… not the stripper part. Check it out below:
Wale’s been putting in work in the studio, and on Twitter, interacting with fans and creating a huge fan base, made predominantly of ladies. This song/video “Lotus Flower Bomb” is especially for them. The track features Miguel, and the video stars America’s Next Top Model alum Bre Scullark. I enjoyed it, and I hope you will too. Watch below:
Well, Wale & his Roc Nation brother J. Cole have been having a great few months. Of course, Cole’s debut album debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, and Wale’s sophomore effort is making waves all over the place after being released today.
The duo released the video for one of their fan favorite collaborations a few minutes ago. Watch for cameos from 2 Chainz, Meek Mill, DJ Khaled and infamous Bad Girls Club star Natalie Nunn. The end of the video features a preview of Wale’s “Tats On My Arms” video co-starring Rick Ross. There clip is TV-14 (not safe for work) so proceed with caution. Continue reading
Today is a huge day for R&B and Hip-Hop fans. There are so many projects hitting the stores and the net today, that I decided to create one big post, full of great new music. I’ll update it throughout the day to make sure that the mixtape links are fresh.
Let’s start off with what’s for sale:
Tyrese – Open Invitiation: Tyrese’s independent return to music is finally available for purchase! I’ve listened, and I must say that this is one of Tyrese’s best projects. If you’re a fan of R&B, you will probably love this album. My favorite track is probably “Stay”. You can purchase the album HERE on iTunes or at your local Wal-Mart. Continue reading
I have this indescribable feeling about Wale, that I’m going to attempt to describe right now. (I know, I know.) I guess it’s like a love/hate thing. What I will say is that when he’s on, he’s ON. And this first leak from his forthcoming sophomore studio release is definitely the heat rocks. “Lotus Flower Bomb” features Miguel…who actually kills the hook. I’ve always said that Wale’s flow works best over mid-tempos, and this is a prime example. The new album Ambition will be in stores in about a month, on November 1st. Stream and download below.
Wale was in Houston last week for the Roc Nation x Heineken Showcase…and took a little time out before the show to surprise fans on the campus of Texas Southern University. In his latest #NoDaysOff Vlog, you’ll see Wale shaking hands, taking pics, shooting a little pool, and giving his perspective on the importance of college (specifically HBCUs.) Check out the video below: Continue reading
