We shared the behind the scenes footage with you yesterday, and now, as promised, here’s the full “Sabotage” visual for your viewing pleasure. Wale & Miguel took it all the way back to 2001 with this one.
Wale‘s still pushing out the singles from his latest album Ambition, and next up is the Lloyd assisted “Sabotage”. The song tells the tale of an up and down relationship, which is something that Wale’s become so great at illustrating. The Asher Levin-directed visual has a high school theme, and features rising star Sabi as Wale’s leading lady. Watch below: Continue reading
Just the other day I was hoping to get introduced to a few new R&B artists. Welp… Singersroom has come to my rescue. The popular music website has compiled a mixtape featuring the some of the best music from some of the best male R&B artists under the age of 30. It features tracks from Miguel, Frank Ocean, Chris Brown, Luke James, The Weeknd, Marcus “Pleasure P” Cooper, Jaiden, Jesse Boykins III and more. Check out the full tracklisting and download below. Retro is definitely back in. There has been an upswing in 50’s and 60’s themed music and videos lately in R&B (see Cee-Lo, Raphael Saadiqq, R. Kelly) and now you can add Lloyd to that list. Dedication To My Ex, his latest single from King Of Hearts, features contributions from Lil Wayne & Andre 3000. The video features a cameo from Wayne Brady. Lloyd is set to debut this video tonight on 106 & Park. Watch below: Continue reading
The latest leak off of the album is a Polow da Don produced track called “Stay”… in it, Lloyd is, per-usual, begging a young lady to stay just a little while longer. Its cute, to say the least. King Of Hearts will be in stores on July 5th. Stream and download the track below.
Big movies, and summer smashes.
This one might just be a good representation of the latter. Lloyd has teamed up with Young Jeezy and Trey Songz to provide the ladies with a new joint to bump with the top back on the way to their favorite summer hang out. The Polow Da Don produced track will be the next single from Lloyd’s forthcoming album King Of Hearts, which is scheduled for a July 5th release date.
Until then, ladies and gents, bump this one in your stereo.

You may remember a couple of months ago when I introduced you to Terrace Martin & Devi Dev’s project The Sex EP...well. Lets just say a few legal issues forced them to kill the link to the project. All over some boobs.
Turns out that the album cover, which I never posted here, was actually a picture of Kim Kardashian’s nude breasts from a shoot that she did with W Magazine a few months back. (If you watch her show, it was the photo shoot that she was crying about, when she realized that she was naked, although she posed naked for the photographer… Right.) When her lawyers got wind of the EP, they sent a cease & desist letter, citing infringement.
Now…personally, I don’t see what the problem is. Kim’s face was never attached to it, and who would have known that those were her breasts? I sure didn’t and apparently neither did Houston radio personality Devi Dev. She told TMZ:
“We didnt even know they were her boobies because obviously I don’t recognize her by her nipples.”
Anywho. 2.0 features 5 new tracks in addition to the original 11. If you didn’t have it before, get it now, and if you did have it before, download it again for the new tracks. They’re worth the space on your hard drive. Continue reading

Every Thursday here at The Uptown Lounge…I’m going to give you THREE new songs that I think you should check out. Lets start off with Drake.
As the first single from an unofficial mixtape called No More Thank You’s…the Rob Holladay produced “Do It All” is typical Drake…and that’s a good thing. NMTY is supposedly a more R&B based mixtape, and also boasts features from RichBoy & Lloyd. Take a listen below.
Youtube star- turned- So So Def signee Dondria is preparing for the release of her debut album Dondria vs. Phatfffat on August 17th… Continue reading
