This morning, daytime host Wendy Williams, a normally jovial presence, was visibly shaken by the death of legendary singer Whitney Houston. Wendy explained that though she had never physically met Ms. Houston, she felt connected to her in a way that she’d never felt connected to anyone before. She also detailed her own experience as an addict, and how she’d dreamed that one day she and Whitney could celebrate their sobriety and life together. She never got that chance. Watch below:

Wendy said there would be no further mention of Whitney Houston on her show, because it would be too tough. This is just further proof of how much of an impact  Whitney Houston had, and will have on our culture.
