Rockie Fresh is being touted as the next great thing out of Chicago…and for good reason. A nominee for XXL‘s coveted Freshman cover, Rockie’s been quietly cooking up a healthy buzz with his slick rhymes and old soul.
The 21-year-old MC’s recently released mixtape Driving 88 is proof of that. Inspired by the 1985 cult classic film “Back To The Future,” (Dr. Brown’s time machine car the Delorean had to reach a speed of 88 MPH before taking it’s driver to another period in time,) Driving 88 is an audible motion picture, featuring scenes of the come-up and living out dreams. The tape features appearances from other up-and-comers like Phil Ade and Casey Veggies. Watch the mixtape trailer, and find the download link below.
