On a day our nation has set aside to honor the birth of one of the greatest figures in American History, I can not help but wonder if we truly grasp and understand the importance of the sacrifices he (and others like him) made.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as you know, was a man with a dream. But what’s more, he was a man who walked in his purpose. He followed the path that God set out for him; to be a light in the midst of darkness. He believed that the world could be better place, if we put aside the things we couldn’t change…to accept and embrace our differences to see that we’re more alike than we could imagine.
