Last night on Love & Hip Hop, questions were asked, new partnerships were forged, and a few partnerships ended.

The relationship drama between Chrissy Lampkin and Jim Jones was at a fever pitch to kick off the episode. After expressing that she desired a little more emotional support from her boyfriend of 7 long years and receiving a luke-warm response, Chrissy promptly informs Jim that she is tired of their situation, and needs a break. The result: Jim storms out of the room, leaving Chrissy to call him an a$$h*le. Ouch. She then decides to hightail it down to Miami with Emily B., Teairra Mari and Olivia, just to get away from it all.

The Female Don King Yandy invited Erica Mena over to discuss what exactly caused her to go ballistic on Kimbella, (which resulted in the brawl we saw between the two models in last week’s episode.) Erica stuck to her nonsensical story about Kimbella “messing up her money” which prompted Yandy to inform her that 1) they were not friends and 2) there would be no way that she could manage Erica’s impending singing career.

Don’t think that Yandy left her out to dry! In what one might think was a setup, Yandy suggested that Olivia‘s manager, Rich Dollaz, meet Erica and consider taking her on as a client (of course, with a 5% kickback to Yandy’s pockets… because Yandy is “about her money”) Rich obliges, and the two managers meet up at a photo shoot where Erica proceeds to “sing”. Let’s just say, it was painful to watch, and hear…like, a train wreck that you just can’t turn away from. That didn’t stop Mr. Dollaz from taking her on as a client though. It will be interesting to see how Rich handles Erica, as he hasn’t been able to do much for Olivia’s career, although she has the “whole package.”

Other points you may not want to miss:

  • Kimbella confronts Yandy about bringing Erica to the garden tea party. Yandy apologizes, and they hug it out, but not before Kimbella reveals some deep seeded Daddy issues. (sigh)
  • Mama Jones confronts Yandy about her beef with Chrissy. Without actually coming out and saying it… Mama Jones suggested that Yandy step away from her son’s career. After conferring with Juelz Santana, Yandy indeed decides to drop Jim Jones as a client, in dramatic fashion, with a single tear rolling down her cheek as she rode through the city. (sigh)

The biggest moment of the night bar none was something that has been in the works for years. While at dinner with her girls in Miami, Chrissy gets a surprise from Jim that she wasn’t expecting…and yep, you guessed it… it was the proposal that she had been waiting for. Of course, this is Jim Jones we’re talking about, so there were no bent knees or heartfelt anecdotes, just a “so you wanna marry me?” and the presentation of a huge sparkling ring. Of course Chrissy, through a fit of tears, accepts the proposition. She finally got what she wanted, but… as another famous reality star once said “the ring didn’t mean a thing.” Only time will tell. You can watch the proposal moment below:

The main lesson in this episode… a gift or visitor from Yandy could leave you in a bad place, so proceed with caution. In episode 8, expect high drama, as Chrissy and Yandy come to blows over Jim. Yes, that’s right… another fight is still to come.
