Last night CBS hosted the annual GRAMMY Nomination special. Hosted by LL Cool J, the event featured performances from Common, Usher, Lady GaGa, The Band Perry,  Sugarland and more.

Kanye West leads all nominees with a total of 7 nods, including Song Of The Year consideration for “All Of The Lights”. Surprisingly to many, he was NOT nominated in the category of Album Of The Year for his project “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” He’s closely followed by Adele who’s racked up 6 nods. Snubs? Beyonce’s album 4 (which I feel is her best work – to date) received NO nominations. Beyonce does have two nominations this year, one for Rap/Sung Collaboration for “Party”  with Andre 3000, and one for Long Form Video for her DVD “I Am… World Tour”. Also strange for me was J. Cole‘s nomination for Best New Artist, but no nomination in any rap category.

The R&B Categories are a bit strange, per usual, but that’s the way the Academy works. I’m sure they will feel the wrath of the fans. The actual show will air in February. Keep reading to watch performances from Usher, Common, Lupe Fiasco & More:
