Curtis Jackson, (better known as 50 Cent) is more than a rapper. While we all came to know him for his bullet-slurred rhymes, over the past few years he’s established himself as an actor, and a smart businessman as well. His latest project was born out of a desire to make a charitable impact to a cause that’s important: hunger.

50’s new energy shot Street King was conceptualized after seeing the disparities between life here in the US and life in Africa. He’s come up with a plan to provide 1 Billion meals over the next 5 years, using a model similar to what TOMS has done with shoes. For every Street King shot purchased, 50 & The UN will donate a meal to a child in need. Yesterday he sat down with CNBC‘s Power Lunch team to discuss the Street King mission and projects he’ll be working on in the near future. Watch below:
