With the recent trend of fashion designers creating more affordable lines, I knew it wouldn’t be long before H&M collaborated with another big name designer in an effort to make high fashion more accessible.
The designers at Versace have teamed up with H&M to bring fashionistas on a budget exactly what they’ve been hoping for: a high fashion look, with a low price point. The lookbooks for both men’s and women’s lines were released recently, and with them Donatella Versace shared her excitement about the collaboration.
The collection for H&M is the essence of Versace. For the collaboration we’ve brought back from the archives, as well as from more recent collections, some of the icons of Versace, such as the bright prints, the Greek key and daring cuts. I can’t wait to see how H&M’s wide audience will make these pieces their own.
The collection will be made available in 300 H&M locations worldwide beginning November 19th, and will also be among the collections available when the retailer launches it’s online marketplace January 19th, 2012. My favorite look is the studded black ‘leather” mini. What about you?
