Robin Thicke‘s last two albums were…how do I put this…relatively unsuccessful commercially. His 2006 breakout album The Evolution Of Robin Thicke set a high standard, and his fans were expecting more of the same sound on his most recent projects Something Else and Sex Therapy: The Experience. I guess the latter felt forced, and contrived.
I think fans will be happy to find that Robin is back to the soulful Marvin Gaye inspired crooning that made him so popular. This track “Love After War”, comes from a forthcoming album of the same name. The project is supposed to chronicle the struggles and triumphs of a young married couple starting a family. Could he be drawing from personal experience here? Maybe. For now, you can stream and download Love After War below.
