Ryan Leslie is all about giving back! An Ivy League graduate himself (he got his degree from Harvard at the age of 19) the singer, producer and web entrepreneur has taken on a new role as a professor. The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU’s Tisch School of The Arts has announced that Ryan will be their new “Artist In Residence.” In this position, he’ll be available to critique songs and offer career advice for his students. Swizz Beats previously held a similar position, as the first ever “Producer In Residence” for the school.
“Ryan Leslie is the epitome of the creative entrepreneur… His entire professional career has been a perfect balance between artistry and business acumen,” says Jeffrey Rabhan, chairman of The Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. “We think someone of Ryan Leslie’s intelligence, talent, and entrepreneurial savvy will add a dynamic new dimension to the Institute and we’re excited to have him join the program.”
I would DEFINITELY take his class!
