For the past few years, Kelly Rowland has been trying to find a way to break back into the U.S. market. American listeners hadn’t taken too well to her transition to world/techno/electro-pop music, but fans in the U.K. embraced it wholeheartedly. For that reason, she spent a great deal of time overseas, promoting her material, and becoming a HUGE star in Europe. In an effort to remind her fans that she hadn’t let go of her urban base, she’s released a new single called “Motivation” with Lil Wayne, and I think it just might be the key to unlock America’s heart again. Produced by Jim Jonsin and written by Rico Love, this song has been getting good spins in the club and is picking up steam on the radio.

Released yesterday at BET’s 106 & Park, the visual is nothing short of sexy…to match the vocals. Directed by Sarah Chatfield & Choreographed by Frank Gatson…the video definitely has the goods for the gents…and the ladies. I think I just got the motivation to get back in the gym…or learn the choreography 🙂 Check it out below, and download the single from iTunes when it becomes available on April 12th.

Vodpod videos no longer available.
