Houston breeds talent. I keep telling people…there are so many extremely talented artists in the city…that no one supports. Right now there’s more hate in the in the air than love, but I’ll tell you right now, Miss Mykie is deserving of any accolade she receives.

There aren’t many black women in the world of pop music, but Mykie is about to change that. In this third installment of her “That Pink That Green” mixtape series, she’s coming with some certified heat. With features from Just Brittany, Paul Wall, Papa Reu & Drake, its definitely one you must download.

From harder edged tracks like “Prove It” (if you’re at work make sure you have headphones for that one) to the softer, Drake assisted “Take It Slow”… you’ll get a variety of sounds. She even beat-jacked some of your favorite rap songs and made them her own…prime example is “Michelle Obama,” her take on Ricky Rozay’s massive hit BMF. If you asked me to pick out my favorite track from…I’d go with “Say Whatever”…it combines a perfect sample from Rihanna’s “Hard” with a little bossy swag. The end result is  something the ladies will definitely enjoy.

Embrace something new today and give TPTG3 a listen. I think you’ll enjoy it, as long as you don’t try to compare it to anything you’ve ever heard before. Find the download link below, along with the video for Miss Mykie’s single, “Dear Hater.”
