The final installment of the “Love” trilogy is finally here…
Singer/Songwriter/Producer The-Dream‘s third album proves that although he’s not the best vocalist in the game, he consistently produces solid, musically sound albums. If you were a fan of his last two albums “Love/Hate” and “Love vs Money” you will definitely enjoy “Love King”
Content wise…well. It’s The-Dream. He’s talking about girls on every song. The subject matter is not new, but at least with tracks like “Make Up Bag” ( in which he and T.I. advise men in the dog house with their lady friends to purchase $5,000 handbags to cover their transgressions) or on “Florida University” ( a cleverly worded admonition of an ex-lover who puts him on blast on Twitter), he adds a fresh spin to overly discussed topics.
If you’re looking for something thought provoking, this is not your album, but if a great summer soundtrack is what you’re seeking, I’d definitely recommend you pick this one up.
