Neo-Soul star Dwele‘s latest project “W.ants W.orld W.omen” is a three-part journey into the mind of a man. The first section, W.ants, describes more indulgent passions…cars, clothes, expensive liquor, and…ladies. Probably described best in the first song “I Wish” ( a melodic list of requests ranging from a beach getaway to Gucci loafers) W.ants describes the thoughts we all have for the finer things in life.
W.orld, is the more conscious side of Dwele, the side that wants to see the world improve for the better. On “How I Deal” he brings along Slum Village in an honest discussion with God about surviving in situations that seem hopeless.
Finally, W.omen. Dwele‘s signature: Ballads and Mid-Tempos dedicated to the beauty of women, love and relationships. On the album’s lead single “What’s Not To Love”, he takes a few minutes to admire the little things that he’s come to love and appreciate about a special lady in his life. This album definitely covers all bases…and deserves a listen.
